Event starts promptly

The March 8th election for the City's Council District 10 seat is just around the corner.

Neighborhood leaders have organized an informal meet and greet session for the candidates on Thursday, February 17 from 6:30-7:30pm. It'll be held in the Hamilton High School Cafeteria. Although this is not an official SORO NC event, we're pushing back our General Board meeting by half an hour to make room.

About half of SORO NC falls within CD-10, including the areas east of Robertson and south of 18th Street as well as the area between National and Exposition.

Each of the 6 candidates will have 5 minutes to present, then during the last half hour they'll take brief questions from the audience. While it'll be informal, the event will start promptly at 6:30 and end at 7:30.

Download the flyer for more information, or register to vote online.

Update: Neighbors United will also be hosting their own candidates forum on Monday, February 14 from 7-8pm. It will be held at the Claude Pepper Senior Center (map).

Bring your computers, monitors, mice, keyboards, hard drives, printers, scanners, fax machines, stereos, radios, hair dryers, VCRs, blenders, TVs, monitors, electronic games AND CELL PHONES.
