The South Robertson Neighborhood Council (SORO NC) along with LA's 98 other Neighborhood Councils, form the grassroots level of the City's government. While SORO NC Boardmembers serve their community without pay, they are public officials elected by the stakeholders of their community. The SORO NC General Board consists of twenty-four elected stakeholders, and one Board appointed Student Representative (Age 14 to 18 years old).
The SORO NC Elections will be held IN-PERSON Sunday, June 8th, 2025 from 1:30pm - 4:30pm at the Robertson Library,1719 South Robertson Boulevard and will be conducted by the South Robertson Neighborhoods Council Ad-hoc Selections Committee. The South Robertson Neighborhoods Council's election will be conducted pursuant to any and all City ordinances, policies and procedures pertaining to Neighborhood Council elections.
In-Person Voting Location: Robertson Library,1719 South Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles 90035.
No prior registration needed. You will be able to register on-site.
Voting is open to all SORO NC Stakeholders who are at least 16 years of age. All Voters will be required to provide a Photo ID and other Documentation at the polls to prove their Voter Eligibility. Stakeholders who do not provide sufficient documentation may cast a Provisional Ballot.
Curbside voting will be provided for voters with a disability or who are otherwise unable to access the polling place.
SORO NC terms are four years. The open seats are listed below.
Zone 1 Representative- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident homeowner or tenant within the boundaries- North: Beverly Hills border South: (going east) Hillcrest Country Club border, Cashio St., Canfield Ave., Pickford St. East: Robertson Blvd. West: Hillcrest Country Club, Beverly Green Drive
Zone 3 Representative- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident homeowner or tenant within the boundaries- North: Pickford St. South: Sawyer St. East: La Cienega Blvd. West: Robertson Blvd.
Zone 5 Representative- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident homeowner or tenant within the boundaries- North: Cadillac Ave. South: (going east) Cattaraugus Ave, 10 Freeway East: La Cienega Blvd. West: Robertson Blvd.
Zone 7 Representative- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident homeowner or tenant within the boundaries- North: Cattaraugus Ave. extending west to Anchor Ave. South: 10 Freeway East: 10 Freeway West: (going south) Line connecting Anchor Ave. to Club Dr. (excluding properties on Girla Way cul-de-sac), Club Dr., National Blvd.
Zone 9 Representative- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident homeowner or tenant within the boundaries- North: (going east) Pico Blvd., Northern boundary of Hillcrest Country Club, Cashio St., Canfield Ave., Pickford St. South: (going east) Southern/southeast boundary of Hillcrest Country Club, Sawyer St., Castle Heights Ave., Bolton Rd., Sawyer St. East: Robertson Blvd. West: Motor Ave.
Business Representative (2 seats)- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who owns, operates, or works in a business or owns business property or residential income property within the Council boundaries.
Organization Representative (1 seats)- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who officially represent organized groups of Stakeholders, including (but not limited to) non-profit, faith-based, or service organizations within the Council boundaries. (*** See Community Organization definition below under "Definitions" ***)
School Education Seat- Stakeholders eighteen (18) years of age or older who work at a school or represent an official school booster organization within the Council boundaries.
At Large Representative (3 seats)- Stakeholders at least eighteen (18) years of age who meet the eligibility criteria for any of the other seats.

Definitions:
Stakeholder: A Stakeholder is anyone who lives, works, or owns real property within the SORO NC's boundaries, or is a Community Interest Stakeholder, defined as an individual who is a member of or participates in a Community Organization within the boundaries of the Neighborhood Council. A Stakeholder does not have to be a citizen of the United States
Community Organization: A Community Organization is an entity that has continuously maintained a physical street address within the boundaries of the Neighborhood Council for not less than one year, and that performs ongoing and verifiable activities and operations that confer some benefit on the community within the boundaries of the Neighborhood Council. A for-profit entity shall not qualify as a Community Organization. Examples of Community Organizations may include Chambers of Commerce, houses of worship or other faith-based organizations, educational institutions, or non-profit organizations.
