Robertson Recreation Center Reopens this Saturday

Posted on 04/27/2022

It has been several years in the making, but the wait is over. For more than a decade, we have been involved with planning, reimagining , gathering input from the public and making dramatic, innovative changes to our beloved park. This has involved closing the park for over three years and rebuilding the park from the ground up.

Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am the park will have a grand reopening when City Councilman Paul Koretz and other City Officials will formally reopen the park and dedicate the Brooke Powers Wilson Memorial Square at the intersection of Robertson Blvd. and Airdrome Street. Brooke was a former Facility Director at Robertson Recreation Center whose impact on the development of the park and how it interacted with those who enjoyed the park’s services and facilities was significant.

If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and enjoy the reopening. Meet Councilman Koretz, the new Robertson Recreation Center Facility Director, Carla “CC” Arrue, and some Board Members of the South Robertson Neighborhoods Council.
