I am reaching out to you as the LASAN Neighborhood Council Liaison to inform you that LA Sanitation is conducting public outreach efforts to inform communities across Los Angeles about the proposed Sewer Service Charge rate increase. We would like to give constituents a chance to ask questions and get information on available funding assistance for those in need.

Residents should have started seeing outreach mailers in their mailboxes the first week of July, which will contain information about 2 upcoming Zoom webinars about proposed sewer rate increases.  The first webinar will be on Saturday, Jul 20, 2024 at 9:30 A.M. The second webinar will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6:00 P.M.

Attached, you will find digital copies of our outreach fliers in English. We kindly request that you share these materials with the rest of your board and any other relevant stakeholders that may find this information useful. We plan to have these materials available in more languages very soon, such as Spanish and Armenian.

Our External Affairs Office will also be conducting significant public outreach in person at upcoming Summer events throughout Los Angeles to connect directly with constituents. We are also planning on dropping off flyers at various community centers throughout Los Angeles to focus on spreading awareness to those who may need financial assistance.
