Aggravated Assault
No incidents to report.
Robbery
May 10, 2025, at approximately 0100 hours, on the 9000 block of Vicar St. A violent home invasion and
kidnapping incident appears to have been a case of mistaken identity. The victims, a married couple with
one child, had recently moved into their home on the 9000 block of Vicar Street.
The suspects may have intended to target a former resident of the home who is a high-profile
individual. On the night of the incident, the current residents were asleep when the sound of
shattering glass woke them. Four suspects entered the home and quickly restrained the victims.
The suspects stole the victims’ phones and tablets, then kidnapped the male victim and fled the
scene in a dark-colored, older-model pickup truck.
During the kidnapping, the suspects repeatedly referred to the victim by a different name,
confirming the case of mistaken identity. They also attempted, unsuccessfully, to access the
victim’s banking applications in an effort to transfer money. The kidnapped victim later contacted
police after being dropped off in the city of Montrose, California.
Burglary – Residential
May 9, 2025, at approximately 2020 hours, on the 9800 block of Vidor Dr. Three suspects forcibly
entered the residence by prying open the rear patio door. Once inside, they ransacked the interior and
stole jewelry and designer handbags with an estimated total value exceeding $200,000. The suspects fled
the scene in a white BMW X3.
Burglary – Commercial
May 6, 2025, at approximately 0319 hours, on the 9500 block of Pico Blvd. Two suspects smashed the
front glass door but was unable to make entry. (This is classified as an Attempt burglary)
Grand Theft Automobile
May 9, 2025, at approximately 1000 hours, on the 1400 block of Canfield Ave. A Hyundai Elantra was
stolen from the public street.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Theft
Eight commercial retail thefts were committed and three arrest were made.
