Community Awards

Every year at the June SoRo Festival the community service non-profit SoRo Community Foundation and South Robertson Neighborhoods Council (SORO NC) partner to recognize people and businesses who have made a difference in the community with two awards: the Susan Bursk Community Service Award and the Outstanding Green Citizenship Award.

Named for Susan Bursk, its first recipient back in 2007, this award is given each year to recognize a SORO stakeholder who has demonstrated commitment, involvement, service, and/or leadership with a far-reaching and positive impact on the SORO community.
