Community Notice: Fox Studios Construction Hearing

Fox Studios proposes adding more than 2 million square feet of new construction on the lot located between Pico and Olympic Boulevards, with new gates on Olympic Blvd. and Avenue of the Stars. It is estimated that the project could generate as many as 4,700 new jobs on the lot.

Prior to the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), a scoping meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 5:30pm on Zoom. The Zoom meeting is intended to give the public an opportunity to discuss what environmental topics the EIR should study. Topics could include, for example, public services, noise and air pollution, transportation/traffic, aesthetics and land use planning.

Community Update: Crossings Campus Construction -Feb. 2024

Project Name: Crossings Campus

Month / Year: February, 2024

Welcome to the February 2024 construction update for Crossings Campus, located at 8825 National Blvd (Culver City) and 8888 Venice Blvd (Los Angeles).  The project is set to begin early preparatory activities in February before the demolition phase begins in mid-March.

 Upcoming Work / Closures 

  1. Beginning in mid- February the Northbound National Blvd  parking and cyclist lanes, between Washington and Venice Blvd, will be closed while crews erect a covered pedestrian walkway, site protection, and sound blankets.  Once complete, pedestrians will have access to a covered walkway for the duration of construction. This work is anticipated to take 1.5 weeks. 
  2. Beginning in mid-February the Eastbound Venice Blvd parking and cyclist lanes, between National Blvd and Helms Alley, will be closed while crews erect perimeter protection and sound blankets.  Once complete, pedestrians and cyclists will have access to a long-term temporary walkway and cyclist lane.  This work is anticipated to take 1 week.  

Safety: 

  1. The project general contractor (Hathaway Dinwiddie) will have personnel on site to ensure these activities are carried out in a safe manner and members of the community are given safe passage.
